The Getty Center is a great example of a museum with impressive architecture, outdoor sculptures, and a breathtaking view of LA. The museum is free to visit and has an impressive collection of artworks.

While the movie theater isn’t the best place to watch a movie, it does have high-end facilities. Additionally, the theatre has a small gift shop in the lobby.

One of the most iconic landmarks in LA is the Hollywood sign. It’s 45 feet tall and visible from all over town. Getting a good picture of the sign can take time and effort.

Another popular sight is the Los Angeles Observatory. This is a great place to view the Hollywood sign, and there are plenty of other things to see and do in the area.

Another ‘cool’ thing in LA is riding a bike through Griffith Park. This 8.5-acre park has fun activities, like tarantulas, wild birds, and wetlands.

Visit Los Angeles Art Museums

The Museum of Contemporary Art is located in downtown Los Angeles. This iconic art institution’s extensive collection of multimedia works from the past seventy years. Its unique multi-disciplinary approach to contemporary art has defined its programming.

Another notable art museum in Los Angeles is the Norton-Simon Museum. It is renowned for a collection of 8,000 European artifacts from the 16th to 19th centuries. Also featured are artifacts from South Asia and outdoor gardens.

Other major attractions in Los Angeles include The Broad. Founded by Eli and Edythe Broad, this institution is free to the public. It will have more than 250 masterworks of modern and contemporary art.

Additionally, visitors can visit the Hammer Museum, an iconic art institution located on the edge of the University of California, Los Angeles. The museum regularly features international contemporary artists in its partnership with UCLA.

Lastly, it is also possible to visit the Teens of Contemporary Art. This is an annual event that provides free admission to high school students. A monthly program is held during the event, and the teens decide on topics. They are also invited to participate in a free art-making program.

Griffith Observatory is Worth the Stop

Griffith Park is one of LA’s most popular outdoor destinations with more than 4,000 acres of natural beauty and hiking trails to explore. For a romantic evening stroll, don’t miss out on walking through Griffith Observatory which offers breathtaking views of both downtown and the Hollywood sign. Plus, it’s free!

In addition to the great outdoors, there’s also plenty of cultural offerings available in Griffith Park! The Autry Museum provides visitors with insights into life on America’s western frontier through its exhibits and educational programming.

If you’re looking for a unique tourist attraction in Los Angeles, consider visiting the La Brea Tar Pits. Located in the center of Museum Row, this archaeological site is the richest source of Ice Age fossils on earth. The tar pits have uncovered a variety of skeletons of animals from 10,000 to 40,000 years ago.

You can park for free in a garage on Sixth Street or Wilshire Boulevard to get to the La Brea Tar Pits. However, you may need to pay if you’re planning to visit the museum.

La Brea Tar Pits are also near LACMA and Peterson’s Automotive Museum. These are other great places to explore in Los Angeles.

Another great tourist attraction in Los Angeles is the Hollywood Wax Museum. This wax museum opened in 1965 and is a popular tourist destination. It features hundreds of exhibits representing different historical eras and allows visitors to re-enact scenes from executions and torture.

Los Angeles has some of the most beautiful beaches in the world and spending time at one of them is a must during your getaway.
